177Lu-PSMA-VG01 is a therapeutic radiopharmaceutical consisting of the beta-emitting radioisotope lutetium-177 conjugated to a ligand targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). Developed by Shandong V-Zhi Zhike Pharmaceutical, the agent is designed to treat PSMA-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). By binding to PSMA, which is overexpressed on prostate cancer cells, the drug delivers localized ionizing radiation that induces DNA damage and cell death. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation for safety, dosimetry, and preliminary efficacy in patients previously treated with androgen receptor pathway inhibitors and taxanes.
