Overview

177Lu-R11228 is an investigational radiopharmaceutical designed for targeted radioligand therapy of cancer. It is a lutetium-177 labeled compound, administered to patients whose tumors show positive uptake with the diagnostic agent 68Ga-R11228 as detected by PET imaging. The therapy exploits the emission of beta particles from 177Lu to induce DNA damage and cell death in cancer cells expressing the molecular target bound by R11228. Preclinical and clinical studies aim to assess safety, dosimetry, and preliminary efficacy. The primary indication under investigation is advanced ER+ and/or PR+, HER2-negative breast cancer[2][4].
