Overview
177Lu-Tamrada is a first-in-class **nanomedicine radiopharmaceutical** that selectively targets **tumor associated macrophages (TAMs)** without a targeting ligand, delivering the radioactive isotope lutetium-177 (177Lu) directly to TAMs within the tumor microenvironment. It is designed to treat a range of solid tumors, including anti-PD-1 resistant triple negative breast cancer, by arresting tumor growth and exerting cytotoxic effects via radiation and a bystander effect, killing adjacent tumor cells. Its mechanism unlocks the immune system and provides potential for broad application across tumor types with TAM involvement. The drug is under development by Ironfist Therapeutics[1].
