Overview

177Lu-TR0471 is a PSMA-targeted radiopharmaceutical developed by Tongrui Biopharmaceutical (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). It consists of a targeting ligand (TR0471) that binds with high affinity to Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), which is overexpressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. The ligand is conjugated to the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177 (177Lu). Upon binding to PSMA-positive cells, the compound is internalized, and the localized beta radiation from 177Lu induces DNA damage and cell death in the tumor cells and the surrounding microenvironment. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced prostate cancer.
