Overview

1849-ICG is an experimental **tissue factor-targeted near-infrared photoimmunotherapy agent** comprising rat IgG2b anti-tissue factor monoclonal antibody clone 1849 covalently labeled with the near-infrared photosensitizer indocyanine green. The conjugate binds tissue factor-expressing tumor cells and, after intravenous administration and local near-infrared light exposure, induces selective phototoxic tumor-cell death. In preclinical BxPC-3 pancreatic cancer xenograft models, 1849-ICG plus near-infrared irradiation inhibited tumor growth and produced histologic features of necrotic cell death; neither the conjugate alone nor light alone produced the same antitumor effect.
