Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**186Re-labeled MAb U36** is an investigational CD44v6-targeted radioimmunotherapy for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The U36 monoclonal antibody binds the variant-6 epitope of CD44 on tumor cells and delivers the beta-emitting radionuclide rhenium-186 to targeted lesions, producing localized ionizing-radiation damage. A chimeric U36 radioimmunoconjugate was evaluated intravenously in a Phase 1 study in recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma; tumor targeting was observed, while dose-limiting myelotoxicity established the maximum tolerated activity.
