Overview

18F-Al-NOTA-MATBBN is a radiopharmaceutical PET imaging agent developed by Wuxi No. 4 People's Hospital. It consists of a bombesin (BBN) analogue, MATBBN, which is conjugated to the chelator NOTA and labeled with fluorine-18 using the aluminum-fluoride (AlF) complexation method. MATBBN is a peptide designed to target the Gastrin-Releasing Peptide Receptor (GRPR), a G protein-coupled receptor that is frequently overexpressed in various cancers, including prostate and breast malignancies. By binding specifically to GRPR, the agent allows for the non-invasive visualization and localization of primary tumors and metastatic lesions via PET/CT imaging, facilitating the diagnosis, staging, and monitoring of GRPR-positive tumors.
