**18F-AlF-NOTA-neurotensin** is a radiolabeled peptide-based PET imaging agent designed to target neurotensin receptor 1 (NTR1). It consists of a neurotensin analog conjugated to the chelator NOTA, which is labeled with aluminum-fluorine-18 ([18F]AlF) via a simple chelation method. This probe binds with high affinity and specificity to NTR1, which is overexpressed in several cancers, notably pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its ability to provide high tumor-to-background contrast in PET imaging of NTR1-positive tumors. The agent may be used for noninvasive detection and characterization of NTR1-expressing tumors and has potential theranostic applications by enabling patient selection for targeted therapies[2][1].
