Drug intelligence / Profile preview
18F-DTPA is a fluorine-18-labeled radioligand developed by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as part of a novel bioorthogonal positron emission tomography (PET) reporter gene system (DTPA-R). The system consists of a membrane-anchored reporter protein, DTPA-R (comprising the engineered lipocalin Anticalin CL31d), which binds the 18F-DTPA lanthanide complex with picomolar affinity. 18F-DTPA is designed for non-invasive, quantitative, and high-contrast whole-body PET imaging to track the biodistribution, proliferation, and migration of advanced therapies, such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells, adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapies, and human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived cardiac progenitors.
