18F-FAPIBiotin is a novel dual-targeting PET radiotracer designed for cancer imaging. It combines a fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (FAPI) with biotin and is labeled with the positron-emitting radionuclide fluorine-18 (18F). The compound targets fibroblast activation protein (FAP), which is overexpressed in cancer-associated fibroblasts within the tumor microenvironment, enabling sensitive detection of various cancers via PET/CT imaging. The addition of biotin may enhance targeting or facilitate further molecular interactions. Early clinical studies have focused on evaluating its safety, biodistribution, radiation dosimetry, and diagnostic efficacy compared to other tracers such as 18F-FDG and standard FAPI tracers[3][6].
