Drug intelligence / Profile preview
18F-FP-R01-MG-F2 is a novel fluorine-18-labeled cystine knot peptide (knottin) radiopharmaceutical developed as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging tracer. It is engineered to selectively bind with high affinity to human integrin αvβ6, a cell surface receptor that is overexpressed in various cancers (such as pancreatic, lung, and cervical cancers) and in fibrotic tissues (such as in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and primary sclerosing cholangitis). Developed by Stanford University in collaboration with Peking Union Medical College and Pliant Therapeutics, 18F-FP-R01-MG-F2 is utilized to non-invasively visualize and quantify integrin αvβ6 expression, aiding in cancer detection, staging, and the assessment of receptor occupancy for therapeutic candidates targeting the αvβ6 pathway.
