Drug intelligence / Profile preview
18F-K000-34 is an investigational fluorine-18-labeled peptide-based PET imaging probe (radiotracer) that targets the cholecystokinin-2 receptor (CCK2R, also known as cholecystokinin receptor type B). Developed by the Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences in collaboration with other institutions, it is designed for the noninvasive diagnostic PET imaging of CCK2R-expressing cancers, such as small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC). In preclinical evaluations, 18F-K000-34 demonstrated superior cellular uptake, higher tumor accumulation, and lower renal retention compared to other CCK2R-targeted candidate probes. Preliminary clinical assessment in SCLC patients showed high-contrast PET imaging of both primary and metastatic lesions with favorable tumor uptake and prolonged retention, without any reported adverse events.
