Overview

18F-LY3546117 is a radiolabeled diagnostic agent developed for use in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It consists of the granzyme B-targeting agent LY3546117 labeled with the radionuclide fluorine-18. The tracer selectively binds to granzyme B, a serine protease released by cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells during immune responses that triggers programmed cell death in target cells. By imaging granzyme B activity in tumors and other tissues using PET scans, this agent enables non-invasive monitoring of immune activation—particularly useful for assessing response to immuno-oncology therapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors in cancer patients. The drug is being developed primarily for the diagnosis and monitoring of neoplasms (solid tumors), with early clinical trials underway[1][2][3][4][5][8].
