18F-NOTA-NFB is a fluorine-18 labeled radiopharmaceutical imaging agent developed for positron emission tomography (PET) or PET/MRI imaging, specifically used to detect glioma recurrence. It acts as a radioligand that binds to C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4), allowing for the visualization of CXCR4-positive tumors. 18F-NOTA-NFB has demonstrated diagnostic efficacy equivalent to that of 11C-methionine PET and superior to contrast-enhanced MRI for the detection and delineation of recurrent gliomas, providing valuable information for clinical treatment strategy[5]. The tracer, labeled with fluorine-18 via the NOTA chelator, enables high image contrast and quantitative analysis using measures such as standardized uptake value (SUV) and tumor-to-background ratio (TBR)[5].
