Drug intelligence / Profile preview
18F-NYM124 is a novel, small-molecule radiopharmaceutical designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX)-expressing tumors. Developed by Norroy Bioscience, the tracer is primarily being evaluated for the non-invasive detection, staging, and characterization of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and indeterminate renal masses. Carbonic anhydrase IX is a tumor-associated antigen highly overexpressed in ccRCC due to hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) pathway activation. By targeting CAIX with high affinity, 18F-NYM124 enables high-contrast molecular imaging with favorable tumor-to-background ratios and rapid systemic clearance, offering a potential diagnostic alternative or complement to conventional 18F-FDG PET/CT.
