18F-PSMA-7Q is a novel fluorine-18 labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) ligand developed as a PET imaging tracer for the detection and staging of prostate cancer. It binds specifically to PSMA, a transmembrane glycoprotein highly overexpressed in primary and metastatic prostate cancer cells. As a radiopharmaceutical, it enables high-resolution positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging of PSMA-expressing lesions, supporting diagnosis, staging, and recurrence assessment in patients with prostate cancer. Comparative studies have shown that 18F-PSMA-7Q provides similar lesion detection rates and biodistribution characteristics to other established PSMA-targeted tracers such as 18F-DCFPyL[1]. The agent is under clinical investigation for its diagnostic performance in newly diagnosed and recurrent prostate cancer.
