Overview

18F-siPSMA-14 is a silicon-based, fluorine-18-labeled radiopharmaceutical tracer targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). It was developed by the Technical University of Munich in collaboration with Ulm University and Scintomics. The tracer utilizes a silicon-fluoride acceptor (SiFA) moiety, which allows for a simplified, fast, and scalable one-step isotopic exchange (18F-for-19F) radiolabeling process at room temperature without the need for complex purification or high-temperature heating. 18F-siPSMA-14 is designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of prostate cancer, enabling high-contrast visualization of primary and metastatic lesions without requiring forced diuresis.
