1928zT2 CAR-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the CD19 protein, which is highly expressed on the surface of B-cell malignancies. Developed by Hunan Zhaotai Yongren Medical Innovation in partnership with the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research and Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, the therapy utilizes a second-generation CAR construct. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), with a specific focus on patients experiencing extramedullary relapse. A Phase I clinical trial conducted in New Zealand demonstrated the feasibility and safety of this approach, with findings published in the journal *Leukemia* in 2018.
