Drug intelligence / Profile preview
1G9 is a TIGIT blocking antibody under investigation for its potential therapeutic application in Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). It functions by inhibiting the T cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT), which has been shown to increase glucose uptake and modulate the bioenergetics of kidney T cells. This metabolic reprogramming through TIGIT targeting is being explored as a novel strategy to mitigate kidney ischemia-reperfusion injury.
