**2-DeNT** is a compounded mucoadhesive oral topical powder developed at Texas A&M University for treatment of minor recurrent aphthous stomatitis. It is a fixed-dose multi-active formulation containing dexamethasone, diphenhydramine, tetracycline, metronidazole, and nystatin; zinc oxide and karaya gum support powder retention and formulation properties. The formulation was evaluated in a randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled crossover Early Phase 1 study in patients with minor recurrent aphthous ulcers, with twice-daily application directly to oral lesions until resolution.
