Overview

**2015 Fluvax** was bioCSL's Southern Hemisphere 2015 seasonal **trivalent inactivated split-virion influenza vaccine**. It contained hemagglutinin antigens from A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)pdm09-like, A/Switzerland/9715293/2013 (H3N2)-like, and B/Phuket/3073/2013-like influenza viruses. Intramuscular administration induces strain-specific humoral immune responses, including neutralizing and non-neutralizing antibodies directed principally against viral surface antigens, to prevent influenza caused by matched influenza A and B viruses. It was a licensed product for persons aged 5 years and older in Australia during the 2015 season; its annual strain-specific formulation is no longer marketed.
