Drug intelligence / Profile preview
211At-9E7.4 is a preclinical targeted alpha-particle therapy (TAT) consisting of the rat monoclonal antibody 9E7.4, which specifically targets syndecan-1 (SDC1, also known as CD138), conjugated to the alpha-emitting radionuclide astatine-211 (211At). Developed by researchers at Nantes Université, Université d'Angers, and Inserm, this radioimmunoconjugate is designed to treat cancers overexpressing syndecan-1, such as glioblastoma and multiple myeloma. By delivering high-energy alpha particles directly to the tumor site, 211At-9E7.4 induces localized double-stranded DNA breaks in cancer cells while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues. In preclinical models of glioblastoma and multiple myeloma minimal residual disease, locoregional or systemic administration of 211At-9E7.4 has demonstrated significant tumor regression, prolonged survival, and the induction of a protective memory immune response.
