Overview

211At-AstraTate (also known as AstraTate or OCT-TBD) is a preclinical-stage targeted alpha-particle therapy (TAT) being developed by TetraKit Technologies, a spin-off from the University of Copenhagen, for the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The radiopharmaceutical consists of the somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2)-targeting peptide octreotate labeled with the alpha-emitting radionuclide astatine-211 (211At) using TetraKit's proprietary tetrazine-based radiolabeling platform. By targeting SSTR2, which is highly overexpressed on neuroendocrine tumor cells, the drug delivers highly localized, high-energy alpha radiation directly to the tumor site, causing lethal double-strand DNA breaks while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues.
