Overview

**212Pb-RMX-VH-PIB** is a theranostic radiopharmaceutical developed by RadioMedix in collaboration with Vect-Horus, featuring lead-212 (212Pb) labeled to a peptide vector (RMX-VH-PIB) that targets the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR), overexpressed in solid tumors. It enables targeted alpha therapy (TAT) via the alpha-emitting decay chain of 212Pb (to 212Bi and 212Po), delivering high-energy, short-range radiation to kill cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. The 203Pb-labeled analog (203Pb-RMX-VH-PIB) serves as a diagnostic companion for imaging tumor uptake, biodistribution, and dosimetry, with preclinical data showing significant accumulation in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) models, including blood-brain barrier penetration.[2]
