Drug intelligence / Profile preview
225Ac-PSMA-VG-01 is a preclinical-stage radionuclide drug conjugate (RDC) developed by VitsGen Therapeutics for the treatment of prostate cancer. The therapeutic agent targets prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), a protein highly expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. It utilizes the alpha-emitting radioisotope Actinium-225 (225Ac) to deliver high-energy radiation directly to tumor cells, inducing double-strand DNA breaks and cell death while sparing adjacent healthy tissue. The program is currently in the preclinical phase, with an Investigational New Drug (IND) filing targeted for late 2024 and clinical trials expected to commence in mid-2025.
