22BBzT2 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Wellington Zhaotai for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, including B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and various forms of lymphoma. The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically targets the CD22 antigen, a protein widely expressed on the surface of B-lineage cells. The 22BBzT2 construct incorporates a 4-1BB (CD137) co-stimulatory domain and a CD3-zeta signaling domain, a combination designed to enhance T-cell activation, metabolic fitness, and long-term persistence in vivo. Currently in the preclinical stage, 22BBzT2 represents a potential therapeutic option for patients with B-cell cancers, particularly those who have relapsed or are refractory to CD19-targeted therapies.
