Overview

23ME-01473 is a first-in-class, dual-mechanism monoclonal antibody targeting ULBP6, a stress-induced ligand expressed and secreted by certain tumor cells. The drug is designed to restore anti-tumor immunity by blocking the immunosuppressive effects of soluble ULBP6 on NKG2D receptors found on natural killer (NK) cells and T cells. By preventing soluble ULBP6 from acting as an immune decoy, 23ME-01473 enables immune cell recognition and killing of cancer cells. Additionally, the antibody’s Fc region is engineered to enhance effector function, promoting direct killing of ULBP6-expressing cancer cells by NK cells[2][5][9]. The drug was developed using 23andMe’s proprietary genetics research platform and is currently in clinical trials for advanced solid tumors.
