Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**268664** is an investigational prophylactic Epstein-Barr virus vaccine developed by Henogen in collaboration with GSK. It is a recombinant protein-subunit vaccine containing EBV glycoprotein 350 and formulated with the AS04 adjuvant system, comprising aluminum hydroxide and 3-O-desacyl-4′-monophosphoryl lipid A. The vaccine was evaluated as a three-dose intramuscular regimen in EBV-seronegative adolescents and young adults to prevent infectious mononucleosis. In a completed Phase 2 randomized trial, it reduced infectious mononucleosis associated with primary EBV infection but did not prevent asymptomatic EBV infection.
