2LEBV is a micro-immunotherapy (MI) medicinal product developed by Labo'Life, designed to support the immune system in the context of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection and reactivation. It is a sequential homeopathic treatment consisting of capsules containing sucrose-lactose pillules impregnated with highly diluted active ingredients, including human recombinant interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-2 (IL-2), plant-derived DNA and RNA, and specific nucleic acids (SNAs). The mechanism of action involves modulating the host's immune response; in vitro studies have shown that 2LEBV enhances phagocytosis in granulocytes and regulates the secretion of various cytokines, such as increasing IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, and TNF-α while decreasing IL-9. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 4 clinical trials for its efficacy in reducing asthenia (fatigue) and other symptoms in patients with acute or chronic EBV infections.
