Overview

This compound is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the quinazoline class. It has been studied as an experimental inhibitor of phosphodiesterase enzymes, particularly PDE7A and PDE4D. In vitro studies have shown that it inhibits the catalytic domain of PDE7A at sub-micromolar concentrations and PDE4D at micromolar levels. By inhibiting these enzymes, it increases intracellular cAMP levels and demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties in cell-based assays. The compound has not been approved for any indication or entered clinical trials but is considered a potential lead for developing drugs targeting immune and inflammatory disorders due to its effects on T-cell function and inflammation pathways[1][6]. Structural studies indicate it can cross the blood-brain barrier[6].
