301S is a recombinant human tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) receptor II: IgG-Fc fusion protein developed by Sansheng Guojian Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of 3SBio). It is designed to treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriasis. The molecule consists of the extracellular ligand-binding portion of the human 75 kDa (p75) tumor necrosis factor receptor linked to the Fc portion of human IgG1. By acting as a decoy receptor, 301S competitively binds to circulating TNF-α, preventing it from interacting with cell surface receptors and thereby neutralizing its pro-inflammatory biological activity. This mechanism is similar to that of etanercept, a well-established TNF-α inhibitor.
