311mab-31B5 is an experimental human monoclonal antibody targeting the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein, isolated from B cells of convalescent COVID-19 patients. It directly blocks the interaction between the viral RBD and the human ACE2 receptor and thereby prevents viral attachment and entry into host cells, showing potent neutralization of SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus with an IC50 of about 0.0338 μg/mL and blockade of RBD–hACE2 binding with an IC50 of about 0.0332 μg/mL.[4][3] It has been reported in preclinical research as part of a panel of neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 but has not been developed as an approved therapeutic product.[4][3]
