Drug intelligence / Profile preview
3BP-5201 (also known as RXM-5201) is a peptide-based radiopharmaceutical imaging agent targeting fibroblast activation protein (FAP). Originally developed by 3B Pharmaceuticals, the global rights to 3BP-5201 were acquired by RefleXion Medical to direct its SCINTIX biology-guided radiotherapy system. The agent is designed to be labeled with gallium-68 ($^{68}\text{Ga}$) or fluorine-18 ($^{18}\text{F}$) for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of FAP expression. FAP is highly expressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in more than 90% of epithelial solid tumors, making 3BP-5201 a promising pan-tumor imaging agent for both malignant and benign diseases.
