3D129 is an experimental in vivo chimeric antigen receptor natural killer (CAR-NK) cell therapy being developed by 3D Medicines for the treatment of solid tumors. Utilizing an in vivo CAR-NK platform, the therapy is designed to genetically modify endogenous NK cells within the patient's body to express chimeric antigen receptors. These CAR-modified NK cells then recognize and target specific tumor antigens, mediating direct cytotoxic activity against solid tumor cells. This approach aims to overcome the logistical and manufacturing challenges associated with traditional ex vivo cell therapies, such as the need for complex external cell processing. 3D129 is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
