Drug intelligence / Profile preview
3M Single Bond Universal (also known as Scotchbond Universal) is a 7th generation universal dental adhesive manufactured by 3M ESPE. It is a versatile bonding agent that can be used in total-etch, self-etch, and selective-etch modes for both direct and indirect restorative procedures. The formulation contains a unique blend of ingredients including Vitrebond Copolymer, HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), water, silane, and nanosilica filler. It is designed to provide high bond strength to various substrates such as dentin, enamel, glass ceramics, zirconia, noble and non-precious alloys, and composites without the need for an additional primer. Beyond its primary use in restorations, it is also utilized for sealing dentin prior to amalgam placement and for the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity.
