Overview

This compound is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the benzanilide class of organic compounds. It is characterized by a benzamide core substituted with aminoethoxy and piperidinyl groups. The primary known pharmacological activity is inhibition of the human urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA), an enzyme involved in converting plasminogen to plasmin and thus playing a role in fibrinolysis and tissue remodeling. The compound has demonstrated inhibitory activity against uPA with an IC50 of approximately 520 nM. There are no approved therapeutic indications or marketed formulations for this molecule as of now; it appears to be primarily used as a research tool or experimental agent in biochemical studies targeting uPA[1][2][5].
