Overview

This is a combination chemotherapy regimen containing multiple agents with different mechanisms of action. 4-epidoxorubicin (epirubicin) is an anthracycline that exerts antitumor effects by interfering with DNA synthesis and function. It inhibits topoisomerase II activity and DNA helicase activity, preventing DNA replication and transcription. Interferon-β is an immunomodulator that helps regulate immune response. The combination likely targets various cancer types, particularly breast cancer, as several components (epirubicin, cyclophosphamide, and tamoxifen) are commonly used in breast cancer treatment.
