Overview

4-Hydroxybenzaldehyde O-(cyclohexylcarbonyl)oxime is an experimental small molecule compound belonging to the class of organic compounds known as 1-hydroxy-2-unsubstituted benzenoids, specifically phenols with a cyclohexanecarbonyl oxime moiety. It has been studied for its ability to inhibit macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), a pro-inflammatory cytokine implicated in immune response and various diseases. The compound exhibits weak hERG inhibition and is not ready biodegradable. Its primary mechanism of action is as an inhibitor of MIF, with reported IC50 values in the low micromolar range[1][3][8].
