Drug intelligence / Profile preview
4C9-DM1 is an **antibody-drug conjugate (ADC)** designed for the treatment of **small cell lung cancer (SCLC)**. It consists of a fully human antibody (**4C9**) that targets **c-Kit (stem cell growth factor receptor)**, which is overexpressed in approximately 70% of SCLC cases. The antibody is conjugated to **DM1 (mertansine/emtansine)**, a potent microtubule inhibitor, via a linker. This targeted approach allows for the selective delivery of the cytotoxic agent to c-Kit positive tumor cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that 4C9-DM1 efficiently induces apoptosis in SCLC cells and inhibits tumor growth in xenograft models. It is being developed primarily by Novelty Nobility and is currently at the preclinical stage for SCLC.[1][3][7][8]
