The 4CMenB vaccine is a multicomponent protein-based vaccine designed to protect against invasive disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B (MenB). It was developed using reverse vaccinology, combining three recombinant protein antigens—factor H binding protein (fHbp), Neisserial heparin-binding antigen (NHBA), and Neisseria adhesin A (NadA)—with outer membrane vesicles containing PorA P1.4. The vaccine induces bactericidal antibodies that target these antigens, activating the classical complement pathway and preventing bacterial evasion of immune responses. Approved in over 50 countries for use primarily in infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 25, it has demonstrated high effectiveness against MenB disease and some cross-protection against other serogroups and gonorrhea[1][3][5][6][8].
