Overview

4D12G1 is a monoclonal antibody (mAb) that specifically targets the extracellular domain of the anti-Müllerian hormone receptor 2 (AMHR2-ED), which is overexpressed in the majority of human epithelial ovarian cancers (EOC). This antibody binds with high affinity to a defined epitope on AMHR2-ED and directly induces apoptosis in EOC cells. It exerts its anti-tumor effects via several immune mechanisms, including direct programmed cell death (apoptosis), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), and antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP). 4D12G1 has demonstrated significant inhibition of primary human EOC growth in patient-derived xenograft (PDX) mouse models. The antibody is in development as a novel immunotherapy for ovarian cancer and is undergoing humanization in preparation for clinical use[1][2][3][4].
