Overview

4D9 is a TREM2 agonistic antibody developed by C.H. It has been shown to inhibit necrotic core formation in experimental atherosclerosis by activating the Triggering Receptor Expressed on Myeloid cells 2 (TREM2), which plays a crucial role in macrophage functions related to lipid uptake, survival, and efferocytosis. This activation helps to limit plaque necrosis and promote the stabilization of atherosclerotic lesions.
