4SCAR70 is an investigational fourth-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting the CD70 antigen. Developed by the Shenzhen Geno-Immune Medical Institute, this cell therapy is designed to treat CD70-positive malignancies, including renal cell carcinoma, glioma, and certain types of lymphoma. The 4SCAR platform incorporates a safety mechanism, typically an inducible caspase 9 (iCasp9) suicide gene, which allows for the rapid elimination of the CAR-T cells in the event of severe adverse effects such as cytokine release syndrome (CRS) or on-target off-tumor toxicity. By targeting CD70, which is highly expressed on various tumor cells but has restricted expression on normal tissues, 4SCAR70 aims to provide a potent and selective anti-tumor response.
