4T1.2luc whole tumor cell vaccine is a preclinical cancer vaccine consisting of irradiated 4T1.2luc murine mammary tumor cells, which stably express firefly luciferase. Developed by researchers at Pennsylvania State University, the vaccine is designed to stimulate an immune response against mammary tumor antigens. In preclinical models of triple-negative breast cancer, the vaccine has been evaluated alone and in combination with diet and exercise-induced weight maintenance to delay primary tumor growth, reduce lung metastasis, and decrease the accumulation of immunosuppressive myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) in the tumor microenvironment.
