Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), bevacizumab, and erlotinib. 5-FU is a traditional chemotherapeutic agent that interferes with DNA synthesis. Bevacizumab is an anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody that blocks tumor angiogenesis. Erlotinib is an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets cancer cell growth signaling pathways. This triple combination has been studied primarily in locally advanced rectal cancer and metastatic colorectal cancer, often administered with radiation therapy.
