Overview

A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), OK-432, doxorubicin (Adriamycin), and cyclophosphamide. This regimen combines different mechanisms of action to target cancer cells. Doxorubicin damages DNA inside cancer cells at any point in the cell cycle, cyclophosphamide prevents cancer cell reproduction by cross-linking DNA strands during the resting phase, 5-fluorouracil interferes with DNA and RNA synthesis, and OK-432 stimulates the immune system as an immunotherapeutic agent.
