The combination has been studied primarily for neuropsychiatric conditions such as severe dementia due to Alzheimer's disease or multi-infarct dementia, with mixed results; some patients showed improvement while others did not[1][7]. It has also been explored in other contexts including anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, heroin withdrawal symptoms (in combination with other nutrients), but evidence remains limited or inconclusive[6][8].
