5-methyl-N-(nitro-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-3-phenylisoxazole-4-carboxamide is a small molecule dual inhibitor of **NADPH quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1)** and **glutathione S-transferase pi 1 (GSTP1)**. Identified through high-throughput screening, this compound binds to both enzymes with high affinity and selectivity. By inhibiting NQO1 and GSTP1, it disrupts the redox homeostasis of cancer cells, leading to increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the activation of caspase-mediated apoptosis.
