Drug intelligence / Profile preview
5101 is a CD19-targeted chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy under development by Lakefront Biotherapeutics. The drug consists of autologous T cells genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for the CD19 protein, a biomarker found on the surface of B cells. By targeting CD19, 5101 aims to eliminate malignant B cells in Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) and potentially pathogenic B cells in autoimmune conditions like Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for NHL and is in the preclinical stage for SLE.
