Overview

54E07 is an anti-murine interleukin-6 (IL-6) monoclonal antibody developed by UCB. It serves as a preclinical surrogate antibody to evaluate the therapeutic effects of IL-6 cytokine blockade in mouse models of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and experimental autoimmune glomerulonephritis. By binding directly to murine IL-6, 54E07 prevents the cytokine from interacting with its receptor, thereby inhibiting downstream STAT3 signaling and reducing inflammatory responses.
